Travertine Kitchen Floor Restoration

We had the privilege to clean and restore this beautiful Travertine kitchen floor.

This floor was fairly straightforward, no deep scratches, no acid damage and kept in good condition. The floor had lost its shine so our customers wanted a semi-gloss finish.

We used a 3000 grit on this floor which was perfect for the type of stone and quality level. We used our rotary machine alone with our Tile Master which is ideal for polishing right up to the skirting boards to obtain an even shine from edge to edge.

Travertine is definitely one of our most favoured natural stone to work with and due to its delicate beauty. Travertine has become one of the most popular choices for natural stone.

This particular Travertine was filled and honed which made the cleaning all the better.

We sealed the floor using an impregnating sealer.

What is this you ask?…

An impregnating sealant penetrates deep into the stone rather than sitting on the surface which provides a deeper and more thorough protection. And unlike normal sealers, it allows the natural stone to breathe.
