Polished Limestone, Travertine and Marble Floor Cleaning
Limestone, Marble and filled Travertine can be cleaned, sealed and polished right up to a high shine.
Marble is at its most beautiful when polished to a high shine.
On this Marble floor below, we used a 15000 grit, creating a stunning shine.
Tumbled Limestone and Travertine Tiles
Limestone is similar to Marble but a much softer stone and its one of the easiest stones to polish.
In my opinion, tumbled Limestone and Travertine look better when polished to about a 1500 – 3000 grit. See below.
Slate Floor Cleaning
Slate can be cleaned and sealed either with a colour enhancing sealant or an impregnating sealant. Impregnating sealants are invisible. It won’t change the colour of the tiles.
Due to the slate stone being very dull in nature, MOST people opt for the colour enhancing sealant.
Below is the picture, on the left is the invisible sealant and on the right is the colour enhancing sealant. You can see why most customers choose the colour enhancer.
Quarry and Terracotta Floor Cleaning
This quarry tiled floor ideally needed replacing but the customer didn’t want the hassle and cost that came with it.
The tiles were very damaged but we managed to restore them for a fraction of the cost of replacing them.
The customer wanted a subtle shine to the floor so we applied a satin wax dressing.
A rather AWESOME transformation, don’t you think?
Victorian Tile Floor Cleaning
I LOVE Victorian tiles. With its striking patterns and rich colours, it has to be one of the most beautiful and exotic floors you can own in your home.
Victorian tiles can be clean but not polished. We can apply a colour enhancer to seal and yep, you guessed it, to enhance the colours and tones.
A satin wax dressing can be applied instead of a colour enhancer if you would like a nice sheen to your floor, but not both.
Porcelain and Ceramic Floors
Porcelain and Ceramic floors can only be cleaned.
You can apply a sealant to porcelain floors but in most cases, it’s not needed. However, there are some exceptions but we would make you aware of that on the demo.
